I didn't realize it had been so long since I've blogged. Why?
Well ....
I have found that Facebook (fb) is very addicting ... to the point where too much time on fb is causing much distraction when trying to get important things done around the house and other important goals that I'm trying to reach.
Realizing this, I've decided to take a break for a few weeks to break myself from going to fb for 2+ hours at a time for four to five times a day; And instead get other things done.
I'm calling it my "Summer Break from fb" and will only last a couple of weeks, but long enough to break that habit of reaching for the mouse and logging into fb when I really need to be doing something important.
I need to learn NOT to use fb as a procrastination tool, but as a connection to family and friends, both old and new.

High School Reunion
Today is my high school (James Monroe High School, Fredericksburg VA) class' 35th reunion. I will not be joining them this year due to cash flow problems (not to mention the price of gas).
I wish them all the best and hope they have a really good time.
I'll see them (hopefully) in 2013!

Past two days
I've been too mad to even write about anything for the last two days.
1. Oink Oink, congress. Nothing like celebrating a Jewish Holiday by adding pork to a much needed bill.
2. Palin made it through the debate. Big fucking deal! That wasn't a debate. She is just as stupid during this function as she was with the interviews on CBS earlier this week. Anyone can read talking points. I needed to see depth; Depth that Biden couldn't go into because she refused to debate .. or even discuss the topic, but went out on her own little tangent.
3. Musical banks. This game is somewhat related to Musical Chairs, except in this game, the players include Citicorp and Wells Fargo. The chair is my bank Wachovia. The deal fell through with Citicorp and Wells Fargo was the next highest bidder. Now Citicorp is going to sue.
and finally ...
4. OJ Simpson has been trying to go to jail for years. He got his wish last night. I'll be glad when his name has disappeared from the news permanently. I'm over it.

Busy Weekend
Looks like I've neglected my blog. Let me see what I can do about that.
It is quite breezy this am with Hurricane Ike traveling through Cuba. I talked to D&D and J this weekend and we all agreed that we have really lucked out so far this hurricane season.
