NY cafes crack down on free wi-fi

Many coffee shops are losing money because customers spend too long online, so they are covering sockets, banning laptops and charging for internet access.

As big chains like Starbucks offer free wi-fi, smaller business are struggling to survive.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver Dead at 88

AP - AUG 11, 2009, BARNSTABLE, Mass. - Former President John F. Kennedy's sister Eunice Kennedy Shriver died early Tuesday, her family said.

The 88-year-old Shriver had been hospitalized in Massachusetts since last week. Members of her extended family had gathered at her bedside at Cape Cod Hospital in Barnstable.

Shriver organized the first Special Olympics in 1968. She was inspired in part by the struggles of her mentally disabled sister, Rosemary Kennedy.
